An early start was required for the trip to West Witts to make the most of the morning W-NW'lies and midday high tide then to meet up with a mate in Chichester. Not great conditions due to the very gusty wind but some good jumping off the sporadic small waves breaking on the sandbars added interest. However the pleasant weather made it an enjoyable day spent in the company of several familiar faces, all polished off with a very nice pub lunch, so was well worth the trip, especially as conditions were much better than those reported around Brighton.
